About Mauldin, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Mauldin, South Carolina is a beautiful city located in Greenville County. It is positioned between the cities of Greenville and Simpsonville and is located in the Greenville Metropolitan Statistical Area. In Greenville County, Mauldin is the 3rd largest city. According to the United States Census Bureau, about 25,000 people lived in Mauldin in 2016. It is the 17th largest city in South Carolina.

Before Europeans moved into the area of present-day Mauldin, it was occupied by Native American Indians. In 1784, Benjamin Griffith was granted 100-acres. Griffith was one of the earliest known settlers in the area. Eventually, the area became known as Butler’s Corners and in 1869 the land was transferred to Mauldin Episcopal Church. About 20 years later, the Mauldin Train Depot was constructed. It was named in honor of Lt. Gov. W. L. Mauldin who assisted in bringing the railroad through the community. About 4 years later the Town of Mauldin received its first charter and in 1910 the community reincorporated and elected its first mayor.

Today, Mauldin is a growing suburb of Greenville, South Carolina. The city is home to many family-friendly events and festivals and the Mauldin Sports Center. Other attractions located in the city are over 70-acres of parks, many eateries, and locally owned businesses. Also, Mauldin is located near the Blue Ridge Mountains. In Mauldin, there are many opportunities for recreation and entertainment.

Mauldin is located in a climate that experiences warm summers and mild winters. Temperatures throughout the months of December, January, and February vary from the low-50s to the low-60s. At night, temperatures will dip below freezing. Throughout the summer months, temperatures will climb to the mid-90s. Also, precipitation is common throughout the summer months. Due to the varying weather patterns, it is necessary for residents to have easy access to heating and cooling systems. These systems work to keep individuals comfortable indoors throughout the varying seasons in Mauldin.
